Village of Ruidoso Announces Public Comment Period for Community Recovery Grants

Ruidoso, NM—The Village of Ruidoso invites residents to participate in an important community recovery process. The State of New Mexico has received $137.1 million through the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). These funds will support long-term recovery efforts in areas impacted by disasters, including the DR-4795: South Fork Fire, Salt Fire, and Flooding, as well as the DR-4843: New Mexico Severe Storm and Flooding.

Public Hearing Kick-Off Event

To start the public comment period, the Village of Ruidoso will host a Community Recovery Grant Public Hearing on April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at ENMU Ruidoso, Room 201, located at 709 Mechem Drive, Ruidoso, NM.

How to Participate

Residents can share their input in several ways:

  • Attend an in-person or virtual public hearing

  • Submit feedback online at DHSEM.NM.GOV/CDBG-DR2025

  • Email comments to publiccomments@dhsem.m.gov

  • Call 505-670-4662 to provide feedback
