RFP #2022-008P Broadband Expansion Project
Project Description: The Village of Ruidoso (Village) is seeking to implement an expansion of existing infrastructure, construction of new infrastructure, deployment, and operations and maintenance of a broadband network to provide internet service to all homes and businesses (premises) throughout the Village. The Village intends to pursue a negotiated public-private partnership providing cost-competitive, reliable, high-capacity, gigabit-speed broadband premises in the Village through a gigabit-to-the-premises network. The Village will commit up to $2 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds as a public match to supplement private investment towards addressing areas of need as defined through ARPA guidelines and to ensure that internet connectivity is available for residents and visitors, to facilitate economic growth, education, healthcare, and public safety.
